"So, if you’re wondering if you can use the iPad instead of your laptop, well, here’s one step closer to getting your answer."

Except it isn't really. From the info on the Hyperdrive homepage it doesn't seem that they have overcome the (imo ridiculous) limitation of the CCK that you can't get any data FROM the iPad TO the external storage. So if your iPad is full and you don't have another computer to sync, you're still out of luck.

Hmmm... can the iPad handle SMB network drives? How about a 2.5" external hard drive crossed with MiFi-type device that provides SMB access to the hard drive as well as 3G for WiFi-only iPads? That would be a far easier way to get access to a bigger drive :)

Lol Hey, the word relative is in there for a reason. While it may not be the easiest way to do it, at least it's an option. And, I'm sure someone out there will figure out a good (enough) system to make it work for them, so they can find something with (relative) ease whenever they need it.

At least we can hope, anyway.

"The problem comes in the fact that the iPad’s Camera Connection Kit has a limit of only 32GB available memory, so the HyperDrive gets around that by creating separate, iPad-readable 32GB drives, which allows you to store up to 750GB of stuff with (relative) ease."

Major LOL.

So 750/32=24 drives. That's almost one drive per letter in the English alphabet... Good luck finding your stuff ever again after saving it on drive P... or was it R? :p
