Humble Indie Bundle 8 includes Awesomenauts, Little Inferno

The Humble Bundle is back once again, only this time it has returned to its roots, offering a selection of random indie games for the price that you're willing to pay. And as always, you can send all that money to charity if you'd like. This time around, we're treated with Awesomenauts, Little Inferno, and several other titles that you'll most likely enjoy during your time off.

Currently, there are five games that you can get no matter what amount you pay. These include Awesomenauts, Little Inferno, Capsized, Thomas Was Alone, and Dear Esther. However, paying more than the average contribution (which currently stands at $5.04) will get you two more games: Proteus and Hotline Miami.

You'll also receive the soundtracks to each of the games, save for Hotline Miami. All these games can be connected to your Steam account as well, but you'll have to pay at least a dollar for that privilege. All the games are also compatible with Windows, OS X, and Linux, so you'll be able to play the games on any computer you have lying around.

The bundle just started and has over 14 days left to go, but already contributions have crossed the $125,000 mark from over 23,000 people, with the highest contribution so far being $512. When you buy these games, you'll have the option of choosing how much goes to the developers and how much goes to charity. You also have the option of "tipping" the Humble Bundle folks for continuously providing a great set of games throughout the year.

As always, this Humble Bundle will see some of the funds raised go to the Electronic Frontier Foundation, as well as the Child's Play Charity. Even if you'll never play these games, donating just a couple of bucks can go a long way, and you'll at least have the games at your perusal if you ever get board on a Saturday afternoon.
