If you want to see all the NBC season premiers before anyone else, you’re going to want to point your web browser to Hulu. NBC Universal has decided to premier their season openers on the online video site, which was created by the company in partnership with News Corp.
Web video premiers for major network shows is not new, but this takes the Internet one step further toward legitimacy on the level of a network. Online sites like Hulu could be viable distribution channels if tapped and marketed properly.
Ninety companies at the moment have signed on with Hulu to provide content for the site such as Sony Pictures Television, MGM, Warner Bros. and of course, one of the founders, NBC Universal. Paramount Pictures also recently signed on to provide content.
