Hulu Originals 2014 lineup revealed with premiere of "Deadbeat"

Hulu has announced its Originals lineup for this year at CES, detailing both the upcoming premieres that will be making their debut in coming weeks and returning original series that have been on the holiday season hiatus. Among the offerings detailed is the pending premier of "Deadbeat", a supernatural comedy directed by Arrested Development's Troy Miller that will be launching on April 9.Another first-time premier for Hulu Originals is "The Next Step", which will be making its Hulu debut in 2014. Beyond this, Hulu has acquired the TV satire series The Hotwives of Orlando, which mocks certain reality television shows of similar names — it will be premiering some time this year, but the final date hasn't yet been determined. Beyond these things, the rest are returning series to the Originals lineups, all of the launching by this upcoming summer."The Awesomes" will be back for a second season this summer, though a hard date wasn't provided. "Behind the Mask" will also be back for a second season, though the date hasn't yet been determined. "The Bridge" starts on January 14, and "East Los High" will be making its second season launch this summer, again date unspecified. Both "Elite New Face" and "Fresh Meat" arrive next month, "Mother Up" on January 15, "Line of Duty" in March, "Moone Boy" in April, and "Moody Family" in the Spring. "Rev" comes in Spring, as well, "Pramface" in April, "The Only Way is Essex" on Jan. 24, and "Quick Draw" this Fall.Said Hulu Originals' Head of Development Charlotte Koh: "Originals are a rapidly expanding part of Hulu's business.
