Functional over fashion any day of the week! What’s the point of having a thin phone and carrying a huge battery backup brick around or 3 extra batteries?

Phone manufacturers need to wake up and build phones that last at least 18 hours on high usage. I’m guessing this would be between 4000-5000 mAh for high capacity users. I know I go through about 4000 or more a day.

I’m missing a poll option for “find a sweet spot of device slimness vs. battery capacity”.
I won’t buy a chubby device because it runs for days on end but neither am I going to compromise on my getting through the day on a single charge to shave a few more milimeters off the thickness.

Anything slimmer than 10mm is fine but a 3k mAh battery is pretty much overkill as well. ymmv ofc.

cheap chinese knock off of the lumina? yeah that’s why it has been consistently hailed by all reviewers as the best design ever. Nokia basically take a piece of polycarbonate, chop 4 sides to slim it down. Boom we have a phone.

I have a galaxy note and it lasts a day and a half easy with moderate to heavy use but I still charge it every night regardless. No biggie, I’m asleep any way

htc phones look pretty ugly IMO. Looks like a cheap Chinese knock off of the Lumia.

If you also like nipples on the back of your phone htc would fit your taste.

When I first got the HTC Evo, it usually lasted till I got home and night before needing to be plugged in. Over the next year the battery deteriorated and wouldn’t last past lunch. So I got an extra charger for my desk and one in my car. I pretty much keep it plugged in 24/7. I finally broke down and bought a replacement battery and it lasts till I get home again. I don’t know how long before it deteriorates like before (at least I already have plenty of chargers!). So frustrating. I won’t be buying HTC knowing that I can’t replace the battery EVER. Idiots. Oh, don’t forget that it won’t take expansion cards either. Thankfully, there is competition. :-)

Where and when did they do that survey…even the poll in here shows an overwhelming support for a Bigger more powerful battery over thinner device. I have always said i will gladly have more girth on my device (10 to 12mm) if it means more juice like that of the Razr MAXX.

I would love to have a thicker phone. But people will complain that it’s heavier and thicker.

Personally, what I would love to see in the One X

~Software buttons, no hardware buttons
~Larger battery, 3000 Amh(?)
~64GB storage capacity option
~Penta band. At least t-mobile 3G capable.

That is also the trouble with “market research”. It is as fickle as ever in tech and cannot be trusted since tech is constantly evolving, and at a quicker pace. When they asked that, LTE was way off in the distance. And as much as I hate to say it, how can they make such an inane statement when we have Apple’s iPhone being shoved down our throats with its compact size and epic battery?

Oh HTC, placing the blame on consumers is never the way to go.

There are ways to get around the battery issue. For the most part, rarely will you ever be away from an outlet or a car charger. If you will be away for an extended time, you can get a USB batter charger.
