We picked up 2 for a $1 a piece this past weekend on an ad for a local AT&T chain of stores (Detroit Area). Very nice so far, does go thru the battery power but runs very smoothly in all the apps I have tryed so far. No Lte here, but 4G HSPA+ speeds have been good 2.5 upto 6MG down.

Had the Vivid for a month now. Live in an LTE area (Houston) and speed tested at an average of 15.5 mbps, which is faster than my home internet. The processor keeps up with the speed too. Only con is the battery life. The 4g LTE does eat up battery a little. The phone will show 4g in most areas but in Houston it says 4g with LTE underneath it. BIG, BIG difference. Other markets are due to launch in next few months. Mostly in Texas but also Chicago I think

Just bought this phone last night.I can say im very pleased with all its functions and beauty!All i can say is Awesome Phone.Im on 4g and it seems 10x faster then my old 3g HTC Aria.

I’d owned an SG2 and it was smooth enough (though insanely saturated); the Skyrocket lacked the same smoothness and stretching that same resolution to 4.5 inches seemed to hurt it more than I thought it would. Also they made the back slick plastic instead of textured, so in addition to feeling really cheap it was slippery as hell.

Curious why you switched?

I went from Galaxy S II(not skyrocket) to the Vivid mainly because I find the Super AMOLED to be distractingly over saturated and the blue-ish tint to the whites made me nuts…oh and it felt cheap and plasticy.

I was about to swap my Galaxy S II for this, but I saw the RAM usage with nothing running was really high compare to the Galaxy S II and the Galaxy S II Skyrocket.

Just bought the phone a few hours ago. I switched from the Inspire 4g to the Vivid. With full bars on Inspire I was getting between 2 and 3 mb down. The vivid was getting 4-5mb down. I live outside of LTE coverage. That was HSPA+ speeds
