VZW displayed the Thunderbolt at CES in January. They announced that it would be available sometime before the end of Q1, which is the end of March. HTC nor VZW has ever once announced a release date. Best Buy claims they have exclusive retail rights, which is a bunch of BS. That is there own internal marketing gimmick, and the phone will be available with everyone at launch.

The only people putting out release dates for this phone have been bloggers and some pimple faced clerks at Best Buy stores who know nothing more than anyone else.

If you get yourself all psyched up for a Feb 14th, Feb 24th, Feb 28th, and other dates, that is your own fault for listening to bloggers.

For the record, the iphone had nothing to do with the delay… for people to believe that a company as large as VZW was worried that people might return their iphone under the 14 day window is just stupid. That was the rumor when the phone was “due” (according to the bloggers) on the 24th. The iphone came out on VZW on the 10th. Do you realize that would have only applied to the people that bought the phone on the first day, and they are probably die-hard mac fans anyway that would never switch.

Just relax people. I know you want the phone, but unless March comes and goes without the phone, you have no right to bitch at VZW or HTC.

Also, how can this be a “leak” if the list has previously released phones? Isn’t that called ‘Marketing’? I think I’m going to give up on the Wonder?Bolt and move on to the next round of smart phones. I wonder if it would look weird to to use the Xoom as my phone? At least it’s been released!!

Also, I agree with Art, I don’t think Verizon knew what they were doing trying to rush this phone out like they did. I don’t think they have their LTE network fully functional and are trying to correct it now at the cost of their customers patience!

I guess VZW and BB are getting a good laugh watching us respond to this S_ _ _. I am over it!

Have they planned this all along to create a marketing storm to go along with the “Thunderbolt”. If the phone is not ready then just say it and stop jerking us around with release dates announcements changing twice a day. If they wanted to stop this, they would come out and give us a firm launch date. I guess this was their plan all along and play so innocent with their “no comment” sideline tactics. Verizon should show some “Big Red” leadership and stop this crap. I can’t believe HTC is allowing this to happen.
