Everyone should file a complain with the FTC against Best Buy. Best Buy represented false advertising; both a release date, and price, and even their Buy Back program complimentary as incentive to order this device. I bet they had a major incentive with Verizon for pre-orders.

@Jack Mostri, Jack, I agree with you to a point. But VZ has stoked this pent-up demand with its advertising campaign and trust me, VZ is the source of many of these links, as is Best Buy. But I will bet you a nickel or a Jolly Roger hard candy that this phone will not be available through March, nor April, nor May -- at least not in a 4G configuration. Perhaps Verizon will be shamed into placing it on retail shelves as a "4G enabled" device that really is running 3G, and will go 4G after the company can build out the network and then send firmware for download that will permit the phone to operate at capacity. We're looking at a major bit of corporate BS here, magnified by the fact that the iPhone4 is obsolete out of the box because iPhone5 -- 4G enabled -- is already off Apple's assembly line, and sitting in warehouses for a late '11 launch. That's why those in the market for a 4G phone should really consider ATT or Sprint. Yes those companies have limitations and service issues, but at least they have the product, and it works.

If you would all stop and think about this for a moment.

VZW displayed the Thunderbolt at CES in January. They announced that it would be available sometime before the end of Q1, which is the end of March. HTC nor VZW has ever once announced a release date. Best Buy claims they have exclusive retail rights, which is a bunch of BS. That is there own internal marketing gimmick, and the phone will be available with everyone at launch.

The only people putting out release dates for this phone have been bloggers and some pimple faced clerks at Best Buy stores who know nothing more than anyone else.

If you get yourself all psyched up for a Feb 14th, Feb 24th, Feb 28th, and other dates, that is your own fault for listening to bloggers.

For the record, the iphone had nothing to do with the delay... for people to believe that a company as large as VZW was worried that people might return their iphone under the 14 day window is just stupid. That was the rumor when the phone was "due" (according to the bloggers) on the 24th. The iphone came out on VZW on the 10th. Do you realize that would have only applied to the people that bought the phone on the first day, and they are probably die-hard mac fans anyway that would never switch.

Just relax people. I know you want the phone, but unless March comes and goes without the phone, you have no right to bitch at VZW or HTC.

Why would Verizon announce this thing at CES and then let ATT beat it to market? LTE/HSPA+ is all the same to the public... They never should have allowed BB to presell the TBOLT if they planned on winging the release date.

Whatever.

This image is suspect. Why would BB have a release date of March 10th for the Thunderbolt and list of phones underneath it that are already on the market? Even one that was released way back in November 2010? I'm betting that there was another phone listed at the top of the list, that the image was doctored and the 'Thunderbolt' info inserted.

Also, how can this be a "leak" if the list has previously released phones? Isn't that called 'Marketing'? I think I'm going to give up on the Wonder?Bolt and move on to the next round of smart phones. I wonder if it would look weird to to use the Xoom as my phone? At least it's been released!!

I think its funny how some, "anonymous" source can post a screen shot or some release date speculation, and everyone automatically jumps on board like it was God himself speaking to them. It's not official until Verizon themselves announces it!

Also, I agree with Art, I don't think Verizon knew what they were doing trying to rush this phone out like they did. I don't think they have their LTE network fully functional and are trying to correct it now at the cost of their customers patience!

Well now we have dates slipping twice in one day! March 4-5 this morning and now March 10 less than 24 hours later. At this rate launch date will be summer. By then we will say the hell with the Thunderbolt and look towards the iPhone 5.

I guess VZW and BB are getting a good laugh watching us respond to this S_ _ _. I am over it!

Have they planned this all along to create a marketing storm to go along with the “Thunderbolt”. If the phone is not ready then just say it and stop jerking us around with release dates announcements changing twice a day. If they wanted to stop this, they would come out and give us a firm launch date. I guess this was their plan all along and play so innocent with their "no comment" sideline tactics. Verizon should show some "Big Red" leadership and stop this crap. I can’t believe HTC is allowing this to happen.

I think it's quite obvious that Verizon doesn't have its 4G stuff together, and that's why this phone Thunderbolt phone won't be ready for retail for quite some time -- unless they bring it out as a 3G -- which would be typical Verizon screw-up.
