Apple following Androids lead again.

Did webster change the meaning of innovation to mean copyist?

Because that's all I've seen from the last 3 years out of Apple.

And yet:The same pundits that once claimed DELL or SONY might buy Apple are now claiming MSFT and NOKIA are dead corporations walking.

However, I sense Windows 8 mobile is certainly gaining momentum, despite a legion of pundits determined to tell consumers that Windows 8 is a Blue Baby dead on arrival. Many of us want to try something different than another aging iOS. W8 offers a sophisticated option at least for tablets and phones. HTC clearly knows they will make some money if not a real profit.

Apple is dominant but it's resting on past performance and the Samsung verdict inspired a key demographic 18-34 and early adopters to rush out and buy the Samsung Galaxy S3. Clearly sharper minds at Hedge Funds are mindful of this and will pump Apple until they can short it.

I am in a minority but I will not be the only Apple customer now planning to switch to Windows 8, especially for a tablets that cater to content creators.

It's a great time for those of us wishing to switch from Apple Inc and it's business plan of squeezing the last cent from it's loyal fan base.

There is no Apple advantage.
All the talk of advanced technology for the iPhone 5 never materialized. They slipped up. This was not the time for just making an iPhone thinner and taller. It was a time for finger print security. It was a time to use liquid metal and certainly a time to show Google how to do payments using a phone.

HTC, Samsung and Nokia all have a good chance to gain some new customers who appreciate good design with the first truly digital OS.
