I used to have a Samsung Galaxy S2. Very nice, speed and everything. Here is the thing: HTC Sense is quite brilliant! When you have a stock rom ui or a Samsung or motorola UI, you will want to custom the look. Try to find the coolest widgets, scrollable widgets and clocks. This is something that kept me busy constantly.

HTC Sense changes this, no more time wasted....I get the best widgets, scrollable widgets, clocks, calendars etc. I know I get the best because I tried them all, seriously, I tried them all. Thing is, if you still want to have your own custom UI, you can, but only on a HTC. The other androids does not have sense.

The hardware on the sensation is in my opinion better than the Samsung galaxy S. They videos and photo's is better and the speed and quality of the phone is unmatchable. I can't wait for sense 4.0.

Sense worked great on pre ICS phones as stock gingerbread and Froyo looked like shit. But now its looking good. If you cant stand sense that much then dont buy a HTC phone. Buy a nexus or better yet do something worthwhile with your life and quit bitching about a damn phone. Find a girl or something.

I kid. I kid. I vote for a simple toggle switch. No need to root the device or enter complated menus under a cold boot. But we as comsumers also get to choose to like sense as well. Who knows this new tonned down sense may be the best yet. We just dont know yet kid.

It's not like that.
Google is requiring the ICS look/feel be available to apps so developers have a standard toolkit to code against.

Google is not forcing HTC or any other OEM to include some sort of kill-switch that reverts the phone to stock.

That is the nature of Android. Vote with your wallet and stop buying HTC crap if you don't like it.

What they need to do is make ONE phone that is on all carriers. It kind of sucks when there is that phone you want that isn't on your carrier.

So, kind of do this:

~ 4 inch smartphone- low end and mid end
~4.5 inch smartphone mid end and high end
~5 inch smartphone high end

Also, use the exact same phone and just switch the software (and hardware that is needed) for windows and Android.

So, this should help them focus on making better hardware period.
