Htc has done something new with the rezound, and NO i'm not talking about 'beats by dre' which is a nice addition, it was the first phone available in the U.S. with a true HD display. And dispite the phone having a 4.3" screen it STILL took the 'best' ppi spot from iphone! The rezound was also first to have a 1.5 ghz dual-core processor. Htc's problem is CLEARLY due to its lack of adequate marketing and advertisement. Examples: why be the 1st with an HD screen and NOT even put 'HD' in the phone's name?! If you're the 1st to put the most powerful cpu available in your phone why would you NOT even mention it when promoting your device?! And here's the BIGGEST fail: knowing how much Apple covets its 'crown' as having the highest pixel density of any phone with its MUCH hyped retina display, why would htc totally blast iphone's previous ppi record out-of-the-water with the rezound's pixel density and NOT ever even mention this acomplishment in ANY of its marketing or advertisements?!!! Htc OBVIOUSLY don't realize that making an industry-leading device is only half the battle, they have to then make sure consumers KNOW it's the best!

Agree with that comment. I really like iOS and find Android a slow stuttery kludge even when running on 1+ GHz dual core processors. Android is just poorly designed from its presentation layer all the way down to its architectural layers.

WP7 is exceptional in its use and fluid interface. MS did a smash up job designing an OS for on the go navigation of information and its market share is not at all representative of its quality.

It's not that "no one wants" its "no one knows about it". And Nokia is changing that. Every fanboy (be it Apple's or Android's) I've shown my HTC Titan got impressed with it, and it is barely because of the hardware, I must say.

HTC is obviously a good quality phone. The main problem is software. HTC needs a good quality SPEECH TO TEXT APP - like Dragon Dctate.

The main reason to go with HTC is the build quality. I accidentally left my HTC Incredible on the roof of my damn car about two months ago, and drove off down the road, sending the phone flying into the pavement. It separated into three parts - back cover, front, and battery. And there was only a tiny scratch on the lower right front of the phone. I snapped the three parts together, fearing the worst, but the thing still worked flawlessly. THAT is great build quality.

Contrast that to the shitty LG Dare phone that I had for the previous two years from 2008 - 2010. Any time I dropped the phone at work, the camera would break and it was off to Verizon to get it switched out for another one.

HTC makes great quality phones. I would love a dual core with a 4.5 inch screen from them, though, in 2012.

A friend of mine at work has a Samsung. I forget which one, though. It's very new. Very nice looking phone. One problem - IT HAS A MASSIVE CRACK ON THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN FROM BEING DROPPED ONLY ONCE. She is going to return it when she gets a chance. It looks like someone took a damn hammer to it !!!

More power to the Dr. With beats audio. But, I'm not some teen walking the streets with earbuds(commercial) in my head. The UI needs a revamp, though very nice and usable. But it's old. Best build on a phone and Attractive. Hey HTC, love your work but we need bigboy phones not teen toys. The Rezound, great specs, but geared towards teens. How many teens you know who can drop $300.00 on a phone? So in closing. Leave the specs for us big boys and make a teen phone for the teens.

That picture alone sums it all up. Is like looking at 4 of the same phone with tiny little variations. They need to go to the drawing board and make something new.

They haven't really done anything truly unique for a long time. All their design ques come from then nexus 1 and have just evolved that design a little.

I feel sorry for them. I bought an HD2 way back when, and it was a most excellent phone, the first smartphone I've ever been happy with, and that was *in spite* of WinMob 6. Once on Android, the thing really shined.
But when time came to upgrade, their offerings were lackluster: so-so screen, heavy, bad camera, and ridiculous/gimmicky beats audio. I failed to see any reason to go with them, whereas Samsung has gorgeous AMOLED screens, and good cameras.
I've no clue how they can manage to remain relevant moving forward, if they can't grab an hardware edge. Get rid of Sense though it is good, so that OS upgrades can flow freely ? Maybe make it optional ? Use a more distinctive, trendy design though one of the things I liked about the HD2 was its discreetness ?

HTC needs to stop fooling around, realize that Android is oversaturated market and mine the gold mine that's right before it's nose, Windows Phone OS.
