HTC should make the Sensation series device just like the Nexus. The Sensation name is so good that it should be kept and used for upcoming top of the class HTC devices. I am talking Sensation 2, 3, 4 and so on. My hope is HTC is picked to make the next Nexus, if not then definately will like to see a Sensation series come to fruition. This time pls HTC don't hold back on some of those key specs...most notably Int. memory, Ram, Batt strength, and Super fast chips even if it means chips not made by Qualcomm.

This is good news. In the first year of ownership of an Android phone, I'd probably be fine with the phone entirely stock... likely the first 18 months, given Google's new update agreements.

But I'm locked into a phone for at LEAST 2 years. And given how fast the Android ecosystem moves, that means my phone is obsolete after just one. I'll be pining for ways to make it competitive and keep it relevant and fully functional with respect to the times, not just with respect to the time I bought it.

And that means opening the opportunity to load my own ROM. I'm running a Cyanogenmod ROM on a MyTouch 3G right now, and it helps keep it fresh and working efficiently, even though that phone is essentially fully obsolete at this point.
