amateur review really. you are testing the LTE without an LTE signal… look it just says 4G on the indicator… and those speeds are indicative of HSPA+. The fact that your at&t One outperformed the International version is likely a product of coincidence or the fabled ‘optimization’ at&t does just for its own devices.

its a rediculous phone . if u play a game , the battery gets lost in no time . uuter nonsense phone .
i sold my iphone for this stupid rubbish onex . will not suggest to any one . waste camera , video recording is very bad . it will be 1080 hd , but it cant catch frames fluidly . iphone rocks . there is no beter phone than iphone . will sell this onex and buy my iphone again .

Seems like the true competition is going to be between exynos, omap 5 and S4. When qualcomm launches the S4 with Adreno 300 graphics that thing is gonna be even faster. And even more so next year when they launch the quad core krait chips

and your completely right about the memory performance, its just a damn shame that nvidia is having issues getting the LTE to play nicely with their Tegra3. and I truly hope that the rumor of the US GS3 having the S4 is wrong

I would call that crushing. Not sure what is going on with the IO score but memory performance result is line with the expectation for the fact that Tegra3 is using a higher clock speed single channel and S4 is running on dual channel

I have a feeling we may see 6k+ scores with Galaxy S3 and quad core exynos

I guess Android phones must have a harder time to convince people because both of those things haven’t stopped apple phones form selling.

I suppose you’d say that you aren’t comparing it to an Apple phone but to another Android but you have to remember that people who bought Apple picked it over every other phone on the market including phones with card slots and swappable batteries and they were happy to do that……

Looks like a fantastic smartphone based on a good design and fantastic camera capabilities.

However, no MicroSD slot, no swappable battery, and Galaxy SIII on the horizon means limited success for this otherwise a great phone, imho.

If seen it bench marked in the high 20′s for mbps on Mobile Tech Review. Must be something wrong with the network in your area. 5.22 mbps is not very impressive for lte. I am getting high 20′s from Verizon on the Droid Razr.

Looking at the screenshots it doesn’t look like they are on not on LTE. Engadget had peak LTE speeds of 35.5Mbps.

I’m guessing they aren’t even on true HSPA+. If this phone is like the iPhone 4S if will display 4G even when only connected to HSDPA which would explain the very average speeds even for 3G since HSDPA only has a theoretical maximum of 7.2 Mbps.

I’ll take the four cores with the extra +16GB of storage since there’s no SD card slot. Beside there’s no LTE from AT&T in our area and the HSPA+ is fine for the times I’m away from wireless. I have the unlocked international version and it’s very fast.

Thats exactly what I was wondering. I saw better than that on my iPhone 4, and on my GNote, I see well past that. Hspa+ gets me between 6-10 and LTE from anywhere around 20 up to 50 mbps.

Are those seriously AT&T LTE speed tests? Or are they just HSPA+ speed tests. Either way they seem pretty slow. Where were the tests done at? That average is just slightly above the average on my iPhone 4.

Other than that I am very excited about this phone. Can’t wait to play with it in the AT&T store. But I will have to wait for the GSIII announcement before deciding what my next phone will be! Exciting week in the mobile department.
