I have to say that the reported inability to service/replace the embedded battery, as has been suggested in several blogs, gave me pause, but the superior case materials, Snapdragon quad core processor, 1080p HD display, sound with Beats audio and camera improvements induced me to choose this phone over the Samsung Galaxy S4. I pre-ordered the 64GB glacial silver version from AT&T this week and can’t wait to get my hands on this new phone!

Not really. That ban was too short and applied only in the US. The main reason behind the underwhelming sales of the One X was serious lack of marketing. And when you put it against the massive advertising budget of Samsung, you can clearly see why the One X failed to set the sales charts on fire.

Great device but…no SD , no replaceable battery,,,,,can not beat Apple in this category:) HTC have not zombies like Apple to buy just a design and useless ppi.

Samsung is still the winner.

Hey SlashGear, wireless is charging is slow and inefficient. If you’re going to have to plug the pad into the wall and then leave your phone there for 8 hours… you might as well just plug the cord directly into your phone and be done in 3 1/2.

It’s not an omission, it’s a choice to move away from a technology that is just not there yet.

Not really – hold the phone in your right hand and use your index finger to switch it on from behind.

I used to do this with my HTC Desire many years ago and I prefer it to having a power button in the top right.

Why does HTC have to keep placing power button is such wierd places… Having that at top left side just seems to be telling ppl to be left handed or juggle phone to turn screen on…

If I remember correctly, part of the reason why the htc one x and s didn’t sell that well is that apple got them banned for a month. Then it was too late.
