Don't make me laugh. An iPhone is much more expensive than what it is worth; you are paying for the little apple stamped on the phone. Android devices are faster and more stable (in factory condition, and also assuming that the user didn't do anything to degrade the performance of the device) than iOS devices. Android devices are also more "geek-friendly" (from a programmer / devoper viewpoint). Don't try to pull the android "fanboy " claim with me. I recently switched from an iPhone 4S to an android-powered phone.

You mention Samsung Tab in Germany and Australia, both cases that were finished before the US case. It was found that Apple manipulated images in that lawsuit, the same evidence used in those countries. Also, if you don't think that IOS 5 was a rip off of android than you have no idea what IOS 5 added (not talking about notifications, that has been around since wm 6 with spb)

Name one major thing that Apple stole without prior approval or illegally.

Like any clueless Android fanboi if you come up with the GUI of Xerox, it will only show your lack of utter comprehension of a business deal. Xerox venture capital division made a deal with SJ for the trip to PARC. Read and comprehend. However I have no sympathy towards Android fanbois who typically lack comprehension of basic facts.

If you think notification center of Android of is copied illegally by Apple - think again. Google never patented it, nor it could have even if it wanted to as there was a clear prior art from WebOS. Yet Android clearly stole Apple IP, when they clearly knew Apple patented them. Wait until HTC, Samsung and all the Android army buckle under the weight of lawsuits from Apple.

The end is simple: Android cheapos will end up paying Apple royalties, just like how these cheapos are paying Microsoft. With a purported 10- 15$ per handset that Microsoft charges as penalty for ripping of Microsoft, Android army will be paying money approaching a billion dollars per annul for the grand theft that Android did.

Wait until, Apple joins the mayhem. Android army is probably looking at another 10-15 dollars in penalty they will be paying to Apple for the theft they did.

Didn't Steve Jobs himself steal PIcasso's quote, in reference to Apple stealing ideas that they in turn used to make their products popular? "Good artists borrow, great artists steal". Sorry, you get no sympathy here.

The man founded the company and explicitly *approved* the exact tactics that he later accused others of using against him.

I will take your analogy of Google=Robin Hood, If you take Apple=Stalin. How many times has any of the companies you mentioned quashed other companies? Bought a specific company to stall innovation? You can patent a process, not the outcome. Apple C+, Android java, see the difference? Oracle Did just like i said. Bought a company, then sued over it. Microsoft, well it is Microsoft. Good luck defending the hill ThunderBone, The Android army is coming. Not 5 devices, thousands.

I am sure Android will win the market share as you mention, but how you get there matters. Ends do not justify the means. A selfless world where every one works for each other for free is great end, but how do we get there?

The problem with Google is they feel they are a modern day equivalent to Robinhood. They feel they are duty bound to help out the open source community even by stealing others IP if need be. They stole IP on Java from Oracle, IP from Microsoft on device and software integration and IP from Apple on UI. Then they give away what they stole, repackaged and adding little bit of their own hard work to others for free. So while you cannot sue them for they are not making any money, you go after those who benefitted from this grand theft . I.e. Smamsungs and HTCs of the world. Google still stands there as a hypocrite by being opposite of the beliefs it preaches.

They feel no moral qualms about stealing from rich companies for they believe their goal is great - help the open source community. They are so deluded by their goal - " do no evil" that they feel stealing from rich companies is not considered evil - and then become evil themselves in the process. Their world is a Utopia where every one works for each other for free. The concept is great in theory - but how you get there matters, for if it didn't then there is no difference between Evil and what Google wants to be. Karl Marx, Lenin, Mao all wanted the same kind of future - look how they tried to get it...

Really, It seems that they are losing in the marketshare game. Don't bring up profits, or you are just saying that you like paying more for something because it has an apple on it. It's hard to see from over the wall that surrounds you. Welcome to reality. Android will be a dominating force for years to come. It will soon show up in the most unlikely places. In cars, fridges, watches, T.Vs. Did you see the thumb drive that is android. The shame is that Google tried to create a company that didn't try to patent every little blip in tech. They wanted to share what they have discovered with others. They give away their operating system for the ad revenue. You can thump your chest about apple all day long, I can afford an iphone. I just have no desire for one. I am frugal. I don't want to pay for the ecosystem. To counter your claim about Korea..... No need for a lawsuit, look how many iphones are selling there. Making something less like an Ipad is a good thing, who wants a phone for a tablet? Didn't Apple lose to a little spanish tablet company? Is the spanish company now suing Apple damages? Blah, Blah Blah. This battle will be won in stores, not in court rooms. The people will decide. Now compare the htc rezound with your beloved apple 4s. Bigger, and better screen, 4g, Beats headphones, Better front facing camera with comparable back camera, could go on, and on, and on. One company vs the whole tech field seems like it works now, but for how long? Just sayin......

And so starts the reality distortion by Fandroids.

HTC and Samsung continue to be beaten in courts all around the world. Yet a Fandroid is as clueless as ever. Both HTC and Samsung already admitted to themselves that Android also copied Microsoft's IP, so they are paying royalties to Microsoft thought their nose. Now they are forced to see the other part of reality, that Android copied the intellectual property of Apple as well. Samsung having lost against Apple in Germany and Australia has already started to modify Galaxy tab to make it less like iPad. Samsung scared of losing in its own hometurf has dropped the counter suit against Apple in Korea itself. The beginning of the end game in courts has begun.

All the counter suits including the current one are being shown to be as useless counter suits - just like how useless a typical clueless Fandroid response is to a charge that Android is a cheap imitation of iOS.

I really feel bad for Motorola mobility in particular. Google bought it so that they can raid its intellectual property to be used in counter suits against Apple. Yet it's of no use. However, Motorola mobility has got nothing back from Google - zilch, NADA. Motorola is not a preferred vendor for Googles Nexus brand of phones. Google just raided Motorola mobility and left it high and dry.

Through the course of law and due process of law, if android Fanbois and their lawyers cannot establish that Apple copied any intellectual property - no amount of grandstanding on the blogs can help them. Like wise as Apple establishes in a court of law that Android is a cheap copy of iOS, there really is nothing an Android fanboi can do about that.

Perhaps an Android fanboi can get used to the feeling that he bought an Android because A) it was cheap and B) it was an imitation of iOS which he really liked and could not afford. There is nothing wrong in accepting the truth. The truth will set him free.
