HTC Hero unboxing video and Sense UI overview

It feels like we've been waiting ages for the HTC Hero to arrive, but the company's third – and perhaps most exciting – Android smartphone is finally on the SlashGear test-bench.  Packed with a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen, 5-megapixel autofocus camera and of course HTC's Sense, you can see the full video unboxing and a UI overview after the cut.

HTC Sense takes the standard Android UI and gives it a big shot of extra widgetty usability.  The options to fill up the freshly-widened homescreen panes are now overflowing with Twitter, Facebook, mail and other social networking widgets, plus there's a new on-screen keyboard and other enhancements.

We're also excited by the prospect of Flash support in the browser, a first for the Android platform, and will be seeing what impact all of this new graphical lushness has on battery life.  The full review will be up soon; for now, enjoy the unboxing video and these hands-on photos.
