Amazon UK have begun taking preorders for the much-anticipated HTC HD2, the upcoming 4.3-inch Windows Phone with Qualcomm's 1GHz Snapdragon processor. A healthy - some might say whopping - £549.99 ($913) SIM-free, the HD2 is, according to Amazon, due to be released on November 20th 2009.
Pre-order customers from Amazon also get a free HTC-branded Bluetooth headset (though you can also get the headset if you buy a SIM-free HTC Tattoo or a Touch2). The HD2 looks set to be the hottest Windows Phone around, the first to use a capacitive touchscreen and support multitouch in the browser.
Amazon's release date differs from Expansys UK's, who are listing the HD2 for the same price but advertising a November 14th release. We're checking in with HTC themselves to see whether either of these two dates are accurate, and will update after that.
