Actually it isn't BS. The support site link was dumb, but the update is out. It was originally downloaded through HTC's servers, but now you can only find it floating around the web. That said, anyone interested, you can go here for instructions and to download the update. Its very safe and is the official version (if HTC doesn't make a slight modification by Tuesday.): http://www.google.com/buzz/superlinkx/e4koy2G6j2E/Anyone-looking-for-the-leaked-Froyo-Rom-for-the

i call b$, that information from the sprint site just explains how to download and install the latest android updates and according to their site, the latest version is still 1.47.651.1	released on june 2nd which was the latest fix in an attempt to stop users from rooting their phones by disallowing evo users to run the ruu.exe of the original stock rom version that the phone was released with. although the site says that it was recently updated today, there are still no confirmed official 2.2 updates for the evo. good day and maybe next time you can be a little more misleading.
