Samoled is a nice technology, I just think it serves a different purpose. I thought I’d like the Nexus S 4g, coming from an Evo 4g and I couldn’t be more wrong. The diodes can be distracting (sounds strange, I know) and although color contrasting is excellent, colors, especially skin tones looked washed out. I loved my Evo and have my Evo 3d reserved.

Hands down this is the best HTC device on the market along with the Sensation for tmobile. As new device arrive on other carriers I am pretty sure HTC sense 3.0 will be present and by the looks of it we all will be happy if you love HTC sense just as I do. The speed and fluidity of the Evo 3d as well as the over performace has to be tops in the industry. If your a current Evo 4g owner just as I am It’s pretty clear that this devices will further enhance the Evo brand on sprint. I will be picking up mines June 24 at 8am Sharp on Friday. Rather you want 3d or not or even like 3d or not this is the best SPECED device on the market. I personally appreciate sprint and htc pushing the envelope on innovation instead of holding back like all the other carriers. This will represent Android well

Can you tell us what the call quality is like on the EVO 3D compared to other top tier phones? I’m hearing it’s not good and being it’s a phone 1st, I don’t want something that does a bad job at what it’s primary purpose is.

A lot of the reviews so far have knocked it because the 3D feature seems to not be that great. While that’s obviously a selling point for Sprint and is going to be part of the review I’d also like you’re take on how it fairs as a smartphone minus the 3D. Also maybe how it holds up vs the Galaxy S2 since it seems the S2 is the top android smartphone at the moment.

Do a head to head with Optimus 3D and Evo 3D. Go really in detail with the difference of the 3D effects for movies and games and the cameras on the devices. Please tell which you think is better with the 3D and why.

Thnx, that should be a nice comparison! I was already aware of the higher resolution on the evo 3d, however I was still wondering about stuff such as viewing angles, color saturation, etc…

I don’t really know if there’s an answer to the next question, but as far as I read the evo 3d has 4 gb of rom with 1 gb available for apps and storage. What is the other 3 gb used for? Surely gingerbread, sense, and all the 3d stuff do not take up 3 gb of storage! Do you think the remaining 3 gb will be used for future updates, for example an update to ice cream sandwhich when the time is right?

Anyway, I’m sure the Slashgear review will be great as always:)

@facebook-100002071008673:disqus I don’t have a Nexus S on hand but I do have the Optimus 3D and will be comparing the screens between the two in a post tonight. The Optimus has a lower resolution display but they both do glasses free 3D.

Remember the EVO 3D has a high resolution 540×960 qHD Screen. Samsung and other display types for Android all have a lower resolution.

One of the things I haven’t seen in other reviews is how the S-LCD display holds up against other display technlogy, such as amoled, samoled, etc. I would very much like to see a comparison between the displays of the evo 3d and nexus s.
