HTC Desire 526 and 626 head to Verizon Wireless

Verizon Wireless has announced that it will have a couple new budget smartphone offerings landing online and in stores in the coming weeks. Exactly how many weeks we are talking about before the Desire 626 lands Verizon isn't saying. The two new smartphones include the HTC Desire 526 and the HTC Desire 626. Both devices are 4G smartphones.

Verizon says that these will be budget devices, but will offer premium features that you might not expect at a lower price point. Both devices will have personalization options to suit individual style. Both will support HTC Blinkfeed letting users choose what they see on the home screen.

The HTC Desire 526 will be a Verizon Wireless exclusive and has a 4.7-inch qHD display. The rear camera is an 8MP unit and there is no word on a front camera. Verizon says that this smartphone will be available starting on August 15 for $5 per month for 24 months at 0% APR. The full retail price for the Desire 526 is $120, this smartphone will be offered as a pre-paid device as well.

The HTC Desire 626 has a two-tone color design and a 5-inch screen. Its style reminds me of an iPhone and it has a 5MP front camera for selfies. The rear camera is an 8MP unit and power comes from a 2000 mAh internal battery with expansion via microSD cards. The OS is Android lollipop.
