HTC Bliss Caught In The Wild

The HTC Bliss Android smartphone has just been spotted in the wild. Details on the Bliss first emerged back in May when it was rumored to be a handset designed specifically for women. It recently passed through the FCC and may arrive in September for Verizon.

The Bliss is expected to have mid-range specs with an 800MHz Qualcomm single-core processor and will run the latest version of HTC Sense 3.5 UI on top of Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread. It's expected to have a rear-facing camera along with support for Bluetooth and WiFi.

But of course, the specs aren't what matters here. Instead, what stands out about the Bliss is its pale green exterior, matching accessories, a light-up status indicator charm, and preloaded wall papers and apps that are all female-oriented.

Thisismynext first revealed details on the handset, saying that HTC may have even put together focus groups of women in their 20s and 30s to develop features for the phone. Recently, an image of the phone in a matching dock have surfaced.
