Worth Reading?

NoYes

The HTC Advantage is up for grabs at CompUSA, Amazon and likely other stores as well. While the device is no doubt worth the dough you’ll throw down for one, I wouldn’t rush out and purchase one just yet.

HTC Advantage

Apparently those customers that have already gotten their hands on a unit have discovered something rather disturbing. When booted up, the device greets them with a message declaring it is “test only, not for sale.” I’m pretty sure I’d be packing mine up and heading back to the store from whence it came.

The “error” can be fixed with a simple software update over the PC. Even knowing this I would still be a bit skeptical about the performance of the tiny gadget. While the issue may only be software related I would still wonder if the hardware wasn’t ready for final release.

I’m currently reviewing the HTC Advantage and don’t remember seeing the message. Odd.

Pfft, who wants the Advantage, i want the Shift

i cant even put into words how much i want a shift other than to say that i want whatever Helio’s next device is gonna be the most out of anything i can think of right now, and i want the HTC Shift, just a slight bit less than that.

i mean, those things are higher on the list than a new house, a new car, a million dollars

    Hey,

I have the HTC Advantage, and it is amazing. I am loving it, and many of my friends that have tried it are going out to buy it. The shift is more attractive but don’t forget the 3hr battery life if switched to Vista, meaning you wouldn’t be able to use it as a phone. I say give them a year or two, at the speed they are going they will have what we all want, a super computer/phone that fits in you packet and does everything practically.
