Holy mess, what a horrid move. I’m shocked. They didn’t learn from the HP Slate? The truth is tablets were NEVER meant for hard work for companies. They are too big to carry around and not pocket-able. Tablets are meant for portable pastime, and the amount of work a college student would do.

I don’t know, maybe HP could pull a Barnes and Noble and open up a whole new category of tablet, then dominate it. But I’m looking forward to Windows 8 only for the protable pc gaming

I’ll take a real OS that runs everything I can throw at it, no special apps needed for compatibility, that has USB ports, SD card slots, and everything a normal human being would need, and no, I don’t need to “get it”, because I already do, iOS is a waste of time and money, that’s all I need to get.

Enterprise customers are just finding it easier to convince the IT department they need one. I wish I could use my iPad for all work purposes but unfortunately I can’t. I cannot imagine a case where Windows 8 tablets will be cheep enough to compete in the consumer market. Tablets for consumers are getting to the point where they need to be cheep and MS I dont think has realized this yet.
