WebOS is best turned into open source at this point, theres no point of investing in that OS.
Palm would be good for some companies. I could see a palm device running android or wp7.

]]> By: Angel Garzón http://www.slashgear.com/hp-wanted-1-2-billion-for-webos-and-palm-assets-28204877/#comment-167263 Angel Garzón Thu, 29 Dec 2011 04:10:00 +0000 http://www.slashgear.com/?p=204877#comment-167263 A fiasco it was indeed.  HP is much better off keeping Palm’s WebOS, particularly now that it has officially designated it as Open Source, the foundation for future profit margins is already there given the sophistication and ease of use of WebOS.  Where Palm failed to capitalize on a jewel of an OS, HP can and should do the opposite in order to make it succeed; an improved economic outlook would definitely help, but that will only happen when the Democrats’ control of the White House and the US Senate is reversed, otherwise we’d be facing a much worse forecast than what Japan experienced during the “lost decade” of the 1990s.
