Several manufacturers have already begun offering SSD drives on their laptops. HP feels that the time is right to finally offer the same on some of their notebooks.

64GB SSD Drive

The SSD option is only going to be available on select business-class notebooks. The 2710p, 2510p, 6910p and 8000 series laptops to be exact. The drives should be big enough to hold most of your business-related information. Though the 64GB drive might not hold your collection of music or videos too well.

The extra comfort of knowing that your hard drive won’t crash from getting bumped around and dropped will cost you though. Look forward to paying somewhere around $1,000 for the optional drive starting in October.
