Frankly I would love to see another device running WebOS. I don’t really care about the tablet itself, I just really love the WebOS operating system. With luck the open source community will adopt WebOS and developers will begin to build/port apps! The user interface is by far more productive and intuitive than ANY of the alternatives.

Ya, there won’t be much according to @dalingrin on twitter. He’s one of the cm developers.

Also, the article left some facts out, like that there was a lawyer involved. I’m not sure just how much good will there was on HP ‘s part…

Not sure. This is way old. I heard ICS has changed radically so not really sure if this will help.

That should help the Cyanogen folks to create a better ICS release for the TouchPad
