HP ProBook 4310s ultraportable hits shelves from $779

It's not just HP's blunt-edged Mini 5101 netbook that has gone on sale today; the ProBook 4310s ultraportable is also a débutante to HP's online store.  Packing a choice of Core 2 Duo processors, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and a choice of hard-drives up to 500GB, the ProBook 4310s has a 13.3-inch HD display and starts from $779.

There's also an optional Blu-ray drive, optional ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 GPU and an optional Gobi mobile broadband module.  Standard ports include HDMI and VGA, three USB 2.0, gigabit ethernet, an ExpressCard slot and an SD/MMC slot; wireless options include WiFi a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1.

HP claim up to 5 hours 15 minutes runtime from the standard battery, though that's with the Intel 4500MHD graphics rather than the separate ATI chip.  They're all available to order now, with prices starting at $779 for a 2.10GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T6570 with 2GB of RAM and a 320GB hard-drive.
