Exactly.
It isn’t fair to characterize low woot sales as a general sales fail even at discounted prices.
Woot’s benefit is its low price compared to normal retail.
With people seeing better prices elsewhere, and the imminent rumored release of better hardware both on the same and other platforms – one would expect the woot effect to be muted.

I paid $22.85 for an iPhone 4-32GB and my girlfriend loves her Panasonic Lumix GF 1 Camera that we got for $38.76 there arriving tomorrow by UPS. I will never pay such expensive retail prices in stores again. Especially when I also sold a 40 inch LED TV to my boss for $674 which only cost me $62.81 to buy. HP should have just worked on getting WebOS features into Windows and/or a quick boot solution of some sort, and improved on their awesome Touchsmart design. Sad to see as soon as the Touchpad went on sale, the TM2 has been discontinued with no real succe
