HP just released its latest HP Digital Entertainment Center z556 Media Center PC. It comes preinstalled with Windows Media Center Edition, runs on a 3.0ghz Pentium 4, 512MB of RAM, 250GB hard drive, nVidia GeForce 6600 video card. ATI HD ATSC OTA and dual analog tuners, dual layer DVD-RW burner with lightscribe. At $1000, it is definately cheaper than the predecessor, the z555. It already comes with a Media Center Edition Update Rollout 2 and offers quieter performance. Expect this product to hit the shores soon.
