HP Chromebook 11 mystery model surfaces

A Reddit user going by the name "lachlanlikesathing" went to his local electronics store in Australia in search of an HP Chromebook 11. His search turned out to be fruitful in more than one way: he received an HP Chromebook 11, but it seems to be an unannounced model.

The laptop was shown off by the user in the video featured below, where it is immediately apparent that it is a different device. Rather than featuring the color bar on the lid and colored pads on the bottom, this version has a design very similar to the larger HP Chromebook 14.

This model is HP Chromebook 11-2001TU, and the store it was acquired from reportedly had 20 models. The device features an Exynos 5 Dual processor, an 11.6-inch LED display, Bluetooth and WiFi, 16GB of storage, and, obviously, Google's Chrome OS. It is safe to assume we'll be hearing something official about this machine in the near future.

If you haven't already, check out our review of the current HP Chromebook 11 model, which is decidedly more colorful than the version featured in the video above. Don't worry: the issues with overheating that were experienced by the first round of buyers is no longer a problem.
