I got one on ebay for 188.00. Plan on loading the Android OS on it as soon as i receive it.

The touchpad’s fire sale helped a lot of third party peripheral manufacturers that had product to sell for the platform. Customers who bought the device may now want keyboards and cases in addition to software. Ebay and Craigslist sellers are still making money on the sale of cheaply purchased units three months later.

You ignore the fact you can load Honeycomb or Gingerbread on dual boot. It’s well worth the $100-150$.

Rofl, this whole firesale touchpad debacle was a joke. HP themselves admitted that it was a dumb idea. Most likely there will never be a deal like this again, and while it did give them some publicity (like this article), they still lost tons of money on every unit they sold in an attempt to feed a device to consumers, of which they had a huge inventory of, but had an OS that would no longer be supported… In the end consumers lose with crapily supported OS (though most don’t care, since it was only $100), and HP loses a ton of dough.
