How not to design a PC for your car

NoYes

I’m all about having a pc in my car, more for entertainment purposes, and the occasional google search. But to design a PC that is apparently meant to do actual work on might be going a bit overboard.

Anna Lopez seems to think differently. She has designed a laptop that is meant to fit in your steering wheel. This means that you’re going to be looking almost straight down. That’s just asking for an accident.

I’ve covered car pc’s before, and this has to be the worst one that I’ve seen. I’m sure it will make you more productive during a traffic jam, but it’s going to be too tempting to use it more often than that. I think it’s designs like this that will cause enough wrecks to get PC’s banned from cars completely.

    Wow,

That’s absolutely NOT the way to go! Unless Anna can lock the car PC down while in motion. Even if she could lock it down I woud still not recommend such option. I think most people would not go this route and would rather have their car PC safely placed somewhere else. Car PCs are on their way and it’s inevitable that we are going to see a period of experimentation before the best practices and standards are established.

Good luck with your car PC projects! And please play it safe. Always!
