'House of Cards' Season 4 trailer: Underwood's dark side

Netflix has released a minute-long trailer for the fourth season of its hit House of Cards, and it picks up where the recent season teaser left off. As with the teaser, we're given a political spiel, a stereotypical and carefully crafted statement for the uninterested public. Between it all, though, we see a sort of compilation of Underwood's nefarious, psychotic activities.

"They say we get the leaders we deserve," Frank Underwood says as part of his "FU" America campaign. He goes on to tell us about the type of leader he thinks America deserves, and all the while viewers get a sort of behind-the-scenes look at Underwood's less than savory side, sacrilege and murder included.

Netflix has been careful to exploit the current political atmosphere in the U.S. for its House of Cards advertisements. It, for example, released an "FU2016" TV spot featuring an election promo during the Republican presidential debate, catching viewers off guard after showing what they first thought was just another political video.

This time around, the advertisement seen above was shown during the Golden Globes to give viewers a statement straight from the Oval Office. As previously announced, Netflix subscribers will be able to watch season 4 starting on March 4th.
