Hitman GO VR won't be available on the HTC Vive

If you've ever wanted to play a video game that's modeled like a board game, that's based on a popular video game franchise, then Hitman Go is the game for you. The game is an interesting turn-based take on the Hitman games, which has you carefully analyzing every aspect of a level while carefully planning your next move. And soon you'll be able to play it in VR.

Square Enix has been working on porting the game into a VR experience for a little while now. While it might not add a ton of new features, you can now insert yourself into the game, and imagine that you're actually playing a board game on a table in your house. If you've never played it before, then it might be picking up, but only if you have the right device.

The company confirmed that the game will only be compatible with the Oculus Rift and Gear VR when it releases. The game is already on Steam, but this version will not be updated to add in the VR features. This decision appears to have been made to prevent HTC Vive owners from getting in on the action.

The VR version of the game will be released on May 11, and will cost $10 on the Oculus Rift, and $8 on the Gear VR.
