Hisense Maxe X1 4G smartphone rocks 6.8-inch screen

Hisense is at MWC 2014 and it has added another massive screen phablet to the smartphone market. The new smartphone is called the Maxe X1 and it promises to combine the features of a smartphone, tablet, TV, and a set top box into one device. The Maxe X1 has a giant 6.8-inch screen.

The screen has 1920 x 1080 resolution. The Maxe X1 runs Android 4.4 for the operating system and has a special UI over the top. The chip under the hood of the smartphone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800. The processor runs at 2.3GHz and has four cores.

The Maxe X1 also has a 13MP rear camera that can record full HD resolution video. It also has a panoramic mode, fast burst shooting, and cymera mode. The sound system for the smartphone is a pair of front stereo speakers. The audio system also supports Dolby 5.1 virtual surround sound. Other features include three noise-cancelling microphones. Hisense says that the Maxe X1 was designed to feel just right in the hand of a man who is 5'11".

The phone is 9.2mm thick and can be used by smaller people as well. The set top box functionality can transfer content to a normal TV via the HDML cable. The phone also has the ability to share content with the TV screen wirelessly. The big screen phone also ships with a NFC Mini Bluetooth phone weighing 20 grams that lets the user receive calls, send texts, and more without having to pull out the big device. The smartphone will be available globally next month.
