MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO – Helium Digital, a Canadian company specializing in trend forward accessories for digital devices, has announced the launch of their new HDBT-700 and HDBT-750 Bluetooth Stereo Headphones. The HDBT-700 is a stand alone Bluetooth headset designed to be used specifically with Bluetooth enabled devices, while the HDBT-750 features the same Stereo Headset of the HDBT-700, but adds a Bluetooth stereo transmitter, allowing the headset to be used with any device with a 3.5mm audio input jack.

The Bluetooth Stereo headset of the HDBT-700 is an extremely lightweight 50 grams, and unlike similar models it is only slightly larger than a typical wired headset. The headphones feature a stylish behind the neck design and includes both on ear volume and next/previous track control. The headset includes a very discreet microphone that will allow for handsfree communication with a Bluetooth enabled cell phone. While connected to a Bluetooth enabled cell phone, music from any other connected Bluetooth device will automatically pause and beep to identify incoming calls. Other features include built in echo elimination, noise suppression, as well as voice dial support.

The Bluetooth transmitter included in the HDBT-750, is much smaller than similar transmitters, and will allow a Bluetooth connection to be made with any digital audio player, portable DVD player, laptop, PDA, or any other audio source with a 3.5mm jack. Both the headset and the transmitter have a built in rechargeable lithium ion battery, which when fully charged will provide 6 -7 hours of playing time.

The HDBT-700 will have a suggested retail price of $79.99 (CND), while the HDBT-750 will have a suggested retail price of $129.99 (CND). Both models are available in a choice of either white or black, and will begin shipping in mid October just in time for the holiday season.

Thanks Jeff!

I purchased the Helium Digital HDBT-750 Bluetooth Stereo Headphones with Transmitter to use these with my 5G 30GB iPod Video. They work very well. Sound quality is good thanks to the Bluetooth V2.0 Stereo signal. However, if you want driving bass, these headphones are not for you. They are super light weight, very comfortable for long periods of time. The HDBT-750’s work through the transmitter connected to the 3.5mm jack on the iPod. A 3.5mm audio jack on any audio device will only support volume control, not skip, fast forward, pause, stop or other functions. The freedom from wires is great. Distance is good depending on the environment. I have used them up to 40 ft away from iPod/transmitter with no solid walls in between. Perfect for use around the house as long as you do get too many walls or any floors between you and the iPod/transmitter. Battery life offers no limitations for a day of listening at the office between phone calls. I’m very pleased with my purchase. Jeff at Helium Digital is very helpful. Headphones were ordered on Thursday morning and were shipped from Canada to Tennessee. They arrived the following Tuesday. $129.99 is in Canadian currency. U.S. Cost will run about $111.00 /-
