HDTV Pinball machine – Pinball jumps into the 21st century

I don’t know whether to be excited or depressed about this pinball machine. As you might notice from the picture, it doesn’t have the traditional parts that one would normally find inside the classing gaming machine.

Someone decided to create this full-sized pinball machine using a widescreen HDTV for the play area, rather than all of the cool innards we’re used to. While it does certainly seem pretty cool, doesn’t it take something away from the whole pinball experience knowing that you’re just playing a computer game?

This digital pinball machine is currently on display in the Palau de la Virreina in Barcelona.
