Harman Kardon BDP 10 Blu-ray player gets priced

If you've been waiting anxiously for more information on the Harman Kardon BDP 10 Blu-ray player–the company's first-ever Blu-ray device–you're in luck. They've just announced a release date and pricing information for the player.

The BDP 10 will feature BD-Live and BonusView capability plus support for 1080/24p videos and advanced audio codecs. It can even play DiVX videos and show JPEGs. We don't know at this time what sort of Dolby DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD support there will be, but since Harman Kardon is known for their audio devices mostly, it'll probably be pretty solid.

The player will be able to upscale DVDs to 1080p and feature RCA and component video outputs, an HDMI 1.3a with x.v.Color output, coaxial outputs, an optical audio output analog audio outputs and an Ethernet jack. Initially to be available in Europe, the BDP-10 will cost the equivalent of $940 when it's released in May. A U.S. release date is expected soon.
