Harman AKG K845BT and K545 over ear reference headphones aim at mobile users

Harman has a complete line of audio solutions and confusingly, sometimes the audio gear is only Harman branded, other times it's Harman Kardon, and other times it's JBL. That means pretty much all that gear is the same, just the name on the product changes. Harman has unveiled a couple pairs of headphones aimed specifically at mobile users looking for reference quality sound. The products include the AKG K845BT and AKG K545 headphones.

The K845BT headphones feature 50 mm drivers and a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The headphones promise deep bass and support Bluetooth wireless streaming. The headphones also have integrated NFC technology to make Bluetooth pairing easy with compatible phones.

The headphones also have padded ear cups that use protein leather and the headphones have an integrated microphone allowing you to make voice calls. Control buttons are also integrated allowing you to start and stop calls as well as control your music playback without having to use your mobile phone.

The K545 headphones also feature a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range and promises the same deep bass using the same 50 mm drivers. The big difference between these two headsets is that the 545 is a wired design. The headphones feature a detachable in-line control with a microphone for voice calls. The headphones come with one cable for iOS users and another for Android users. The K845BT headphones will sell for $299 while the K545 will sell for $249.
