Samsung took the stage today and showed off a currently unnamed 4G smartphone. The device features a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen display which is proving to be one of the most impressive looking displays we have seen and we gave it the hands-on treatment.

Even under immense production lights, the screen proved to be very bright and clear. It's definitely the best Samsung display we have seen so far on a mobile device.

Hardware wise the device must be packing. After our tests with Google Maps and the stock web browser, we were very impressed with the device. Scrolling was very fluid and Maps rendered content very quickly.

This looks like a very impressive device for Verizon's 4G network. Combining powerful hardware and connectivity to Verizon's 4G, this will be one of the devices to beat when it's released the first half of this year.
