Handheld Nautiz X3 rugged PDA debuts

Handheld Group has unveiled its latest rugged handheld PDA called the Nautiz X3. The little device is the smallest and lightest rugged PDA to come from the company yet and has some nice specifications promising perforce for on the go workers. The X3 is a small little device with dimensions measuring 150 x 67 x 25 mm and weighing only 260g.

The little machine has an IP65 rating and has passed full MIL-STD-810G testing to ensure that it is extremely rugged. The processor inside the PDA is an X-Scale running at 806MHz and the operating system for the PDA is Windows Mobile 6.5 Pro. Other features include a 3G modem, 3MP digital camera with auto focus and LED flash, WLAN, and Bluetooth.

The PDA has a laser scanner that supports 1D codes standard and can be optioned with a 2D imager. The PDA has 256MB of RAM and 512MB of flash storage. The battery inside the PDA is a 3300mAh unit providing enough power for a full workday. The screen is a 2.8-inch QVGA resolution unit that is optimized for use outdoors.
