You can bet that Halo 3 is going to be one of the hottest-selling games of the year. Unfortunately, sales are off to a slow start as only 1 copy has been sold to date.

Actually, that’s not too bad, considering the fact that it hasn’t been released yet. The first copy known to be in the wild was sold on eBay for around $124. What’s interesting it that was the “Buy it now” price. I’m sure that had it been actually been auctioned, it could have fetched several hundreds of dollars.

I have never been compelled to purchase a game or any other product ahead of time for premium prior to launch. Sure, maybe if I were freaking rich I might, but I’d rather just wait and pay retail price.
