Here’s a tip, if something is too good to be true, chances are it is. Lets say that you happen to find some cool way to sneak your way into the Halo 3 closed beta, that’s awesome right? It is for a little while, until you get your account banned.

Banned

Don’t worry, the ban doesn’t last forever, just until 12/31/9999. I’m pretty sure that bar some sort of Cryogenic experiment in your favor, you’re not going to be alive long enough to see your ban lifted. What is unusual about this ban is that usually when we see something like this the console is banned, however, they’re banning the actual account.

Does this mean you can just get a new account and go about your merry way? To be honest, we’re not sure. If anyone has gotten themselves banned in this fashion, drop me a line and let me know if you can still get on with a different account.

Question: say the console geets banned, and I buy it off eBay, can I call up MS and get it lifted?

Not actually considering it, just wondering. If this isn’t possible, it would be yet another reason to not buy something off eBay.

Lol that’s so cool. If they’re able to hack their way into a halo closed beta then maybe there’s more…
