This week there have been rumors flying around about Apple disabling any hacks on their recently launched Apple TV. Don’t worry, your hacks won’t be harmed
Apple issued an official statement declining the inclusion of a back-door into the Apple TV. Which means they have no way to disable any of the hacks that you may decide to perform on the box.
According to the statement from Apple, they don’t really care what you do with it, after all, you did buy it. They do want you to bear in mind that most hacks will void your warranty though.
