Wacom Bamboo Spark hands-on at IFA 2015

Wacom's Bamboo Spark helps bridge the gap between paper notes and sketches and the cloud, a folio for your notepad and your iPad (or indeed any Android tablet) that, with a special pen, can transmit physical documents over at the push of a button.

Unlike competing systems, any paper can be used – there are no special dots or tracking lines on it, just a digitizer underneath the pad itself – while the pen uses standard ink cartridges but has a battery-free sensor in the barrel.

Write on the paper, hit the button, and the document is shared over Bluetooth with the iPad and then the free Wacom cloud account. JPG, PDF, and Wacom's own WILL formats are supported; in the latter, you can scroll back through the timeline of your sketch, to see how it came together over time or even "undo" mistakes.
