2017 Smart ForTwo Cabriolet gallery

America may have been slow to warm to the Smart, but Daimler's city car is hoping that dropping the roof will make its diminutive charms all the more obvious. The ForTwo Cabriolet keeps the tiny footprint and compact turning-circle of its hard-top sibling, which launched in the US a few months back, but throws in a fabric roof and removable side bars.

Top down, you still get space for two and a few bags of luggage, but the wind in your hair as well. The ForTwo's 1-liter engine is far from the biggest at Detroit this year, but its probably more than enough for the urban sun-chasers that make up Smart's target market.
