Well, the beast is a real crap. my 1.2 GHz Guruplug Server Plus is not even as fast as my old Geode 500 MHz which consumes 3 times less. One of the reasons might be the 16-bit memory bus! And since the Guruplug gets burning hot even when idle, I suspect something's wrong with the design. A normal ARM CPU would never heat up in idle ! Inside the box you discover horrible build quality with power wires breaking from just being torn. I had to use an external power supply to make some room for a heatsink, cut holes and install a fan to cool the CPU so that I don't burn my fingers on the metal parts. Some people report that it does not even work at gigabit speed for them due to heat. This has not happened to me since the mod. But still there's something wrong with the thermal design. I just wasted $129. Tests and internal photos of the failed plug here : http://1wt.eu/articles/guruplug-slow-heater/

Its worth mentioing theres also a third guruplug, with HDMI and audio (though only 10/100 lan?!?!?!), 3xUSB

http://www.globalscaletechnologies.com/c-4-guruplugs.aspx

The downside to all these plugs though is they didnt get the 2.0ghz proc.

But that guru plug server with dual-lan and esata is truely a nice looking plug... There was some work done to take the original Sheeva plug and give it an esata connection (which does actually work) and probably the most useful feature added to it (usb storage aint great fo a 1gig ethernet)
