I use g+ mostly as a better twitter. You can get into some engaging discussions in the comments on posts. I think a cool addition for them would be to allow indented comments on comments, like in a blog. This would leverage the current users of it's service more. The lack of a 140 character limit makes it more engaging and the support for media helps as well. I also find it's users to be generally more educated and intellectual in their comments compared to facebook. It is like the adult facebook haha.

I would like more people to use it because I do think it is much better than facebook but I think that it will take google years to pull this off.

i use google+ more and more, and facebook less and less. facebook is more about old friends and family so i doubt i would ever drop it completely. its really unbeatable for those kinds of connections.
google+ the way i use it, is a better source of news and info about subjects that interest me and by extension other people around the world with similar interests.
its like going to CES or SXSW. you may not know a person there, but you obviously have common interests so making friends is easy.

I use Google+ from time to time as well ... longer than 3 minutes but less than an hour a day. In any case Google+ to me has proved to be a better news aggregator, a very easy way to communicate with groups using the circles, and a easy way to upload and share photos/ news. I like Google+ because it is a mix of twitter, reddit, FB, gNews, and a personal blog all combined into one. It is a strong and capable platform ... I only wish it would come to WP7.5!!!

I sheepishly admit that I rarely use Google+. HOWEVER - I much prefer it to Facebook. I only use FB because I "have to", not because I want to. I really hope Google+ doesn't go anywhere; I can't imagine what Google would implement that would be any better to compete with Facebook. Google+ is a great product, it just needs more and more traction.
