GH doesn't have the same limitation as Rock Band for DLC. Activision isn't being lazy when it comes to the Wii. It's not that they know something we don't, let alone something Harmonix doesn't, they're simply taking the time to do things right.

Harmonix took a major shortcut with the PS2 and used FMVs(VIDEOS), instead of real-time 3D scenes. This is why the Wii doesn't have the option for DLC and a character creator. It's not a lack of storage, DVD rez videos aren't really feasible for DLC.

SD cards have been more than fast enough for years. Look at this way, SD cards transfer between 12 and 20 Mega "Bytes" per second. For reference, the average DVD is 7-9 Mega "Bits" per second. Blu-ray 2.0 is 72 Mega "Bits" per second (9 MB/s).

The average SD card has a faster transfer rate than B-r 2.0 and is over 10x faster than a standard DVD, so by no means is it slow. It's WAY faster than the Wii's DVD drive, even if it's the slower SD standard 1.1.

I hope that clears things up about SD cards.

Harmonix lied about their laziness. Rock Band Wii is a rush job. Instead of owning up to the fact that they cut corners, they're trying to put the blame on Nintendo.

Anyways, I look forward to GH4, but as you probably already guessed, I'm passing on Rock Band.
