It’s no surprise that I’m anxiously awaiting the release of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. For those that can’t wait to rock out, you can always pick up a copy of the game’s soundtrack which will hit stores on October 23, just a little less than a week before the game debuts. Those dedicated enough to pick up said CD will be rewarded with an in-game bonus.
The CD will contain songs from the upcoming game (obviously), however, inside the case you’ll find a code. When you get the game you can go onto Xbox Live and enter it for three free playable tracks. Pretty sweet, no?
If you’re playing on anything but the Xbox 360, you’d better not get your hopes up, as these tracks are currently exclusive to the console. No word on whether or not these tracks will be available to download at a later date on other systems (or the 360) without purchasing the CD. The tracks you’ll be able to play are listed below.
- AFI – Carcinogen Crush
- Flyleaf – Tina
- Marilyn Manson – Putting Holes in Happiness (remixed by Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs)
