Gucci 3D Glasses Unveiled, Due This Holiday Season

It looks like Oakley isn't the only glasses manufacturer in the world that want to take a stab at the 3D market. Of course, with the brand name tagged along the side, the prices are sure to follow, and there's no exception for the brand new Gucci 3D glasses that the company has just unveiled. Much like the Oakley-branded version of 3D glasses we showed you, the glasses offer plenty of technology and features, hoping to make the price tag make sense.

The Gucci 3D glasses feature "optically-correct" 6-base curved lenses, which should decrease or "virtually eliminate" the crosstalk from the screen to your eyes, making your movie as clear and enjoyable as possible. The glasses are also optimized for the use in Real D 3D theaters, which is used in over half the theaters across the United States. Interestingly enough, the glasses also feature a "multi-layer mirrored coating" on the lenses, which means you'll be able to look at yourself in the mirror, without seeing any distortion.

The glasses will be made available exclusively at Gucci boutiques by this holiday season. The price? $225. Considering the price for the standard Gucci glasses out there, perhaps this isn't all that expensive. That would be up to you, and whether or not you're ready to make such a commitment to 3D.
